Little Water Cay, also called Iguana Island, is a small, protected cay just off the northeastern coast of Providenciales in the Turks and Caicos Islands. Known for its population of endangered Turks and Caicos rock iguanas (Cyclura carinata), the island is a designated nature sanctuary within the Princess Alexandra Nature Reserve. It features looped boardwalk trails, guided tours, and pristine coastal scenery, making it a popular eco-tourism destination—especially for families and wildlife enthusiasts. Just 500 yards from Providenciales, the cay is easily accessible by kayak or tour boat from the Blue Haven Marina. Visitors can explore its scenic trails, spot iguanas lounging in the coastal vegetation, and take in views of saline ponds and untouched beaches. Nearby islets such as Half Moon Bay, Water Cay, and Pine Cay can be included in a longer day trip.
